This page is intended to provide clear, honest and transparent information regarding the academic status, scope of practice, and legal limitations of the courses offered by Rajgor Health and Education Centre / Nature Cure Institute, Maharashtra.


1️⃣ Nature of Courses Offered

The following courses are offered under Alternative & Natural Health Sciences:

  • Doctor of Naturopathy (ND)
  • Doctor of Medicine – MD (Alternative Medicine / MD-AM)
  • Doctor of Alternative Medicine (Ayurveda & Kerala Therapy DAM)
  • PhD in Naturopathy

These programs are designed for education, professional development, wellness practice, research, and self-employment in the field of natural and holistic healthcare.


2️⃣ Government Recognition Clarification

  • These courses are not MBBS degrees and are not recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
  • These courses are not equivalent to AYUSH medical degrees such as BNYS, BAMS, BHMS, etc.
  • The qualifications are awarded under the private autonomous education system in Alternative & Natural Health Sciences.

Any reference to AYUSH Pledge / MSME / ISO relates to institutional credibility and ethical commitment, and does not imply government medical licensing.


3️⃣ Scope of Practice – What is Allowed

Holders of ND / MD (AM) / DAM qualifications may practice only within the ethical scope of alternative and natural healthcare, which includes:

  • Naturopathy & Nature Cure methods
  • Diet & Nutrition Guidance
  • Yoga & Yogic Therapy
  • Lifestyle Disease Management
  • Hydrotherapy, Mud Therapy, Massage Therapy
  • Acupressure & Magnet Therapy
  • Ayurveda & Kerala Therapy
  • Wellness Counselling & Preventive Healthcare
  • Health Education & Awareness Programs

Practice must remain non-invasive, drugless, and wellness-oriented.


4️⃣ What is Strictly NOT Allowed

Graduates of ND, MD (AM), or PhD in Naturopathy are not authorized to:

  • Practice modern (allopathic) medicine
  • Prescribe or dispense allopathic drugs
  • Perform surgery or invasive medical procedures
  • Provide emergency or critical medical care
  • Claim registration as an MBBS or government medical practitioner
  • Use misleading titles suggesting allopathic or AYUSH medical licensing

Violation of these conditions is the sole responsibility of the individual practitioner.


5️⃣ Use of “Doctor” Title

  • The term “Doctor” is used as an academic and professional designation in alternative systems of health education.
  • Students and practitioners must clearly mention their system of practice (Naturopathy / Alternative Medicine).
  • Misrepresentation as an allopathic or government-registered medical doctor is strictly prohibited.

6️⃣ State-wise Practice Applicability

  • Practice rights for ND / MD (AM) / DAM holders vary from state to state in India.
  • In certain states (e.g., Karnataka, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu), BNYS-based government registration may be mandatory for medical-level practice.
  • In other states, wellness and naturopathy practice may be undertaken without state medical registration, subject to ethical limits.

Students are advised to verify current local laws before starting independent practice.


7️⃣ PhD in Naturopathy – Special Clarification

  • PhD in Naturopathy is an academic and research qualification only.
  • A PhD degree does not grant independent clinical practice rights.
  • Practice eligibility depends on the base professional qualification (ND or MD-AM), not on the PhD degree itself.

8️⃣ Professional Registration Bodies

Registration with private professional bodies (such as naturopathy councils or practitioner associations):

  • Provides professional identity and recognition
  • Supports ethical practice and self-employment
  • Does NOT substitute government medical licensing

9️⃣ Institutional Responsibility & Student Responsibility

The institution:

  • Provides education, training, and academic certification
  • Clearly discloses scope and limitations of each course

The student / practitioner:

  • Is solely responsible for ethical practice
  • Must comply with state laws and regulations
  • Must avoid misleading claims or unlawful medical practice
