This one-year course is designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge of yoga practices, theoretical understanding, and teaching methodologies to become skilled yoga trainers.
Course Structure
Module 1: Foundations of Yoga (Theory & Practice)
1. Introduction to Yoga:
History and evolution of yoga
Objectives and principles of yoga
Overview of traditional yoga texts: Bhagavad Gita, Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and Hatha Yoga Pradipika
2. Yoga Philosophy and Ethics:
Eight limbs of yoga (Ashtanga Yoga)
Yamas and Niyamas (ethical practices)
Role of yoga in modern life
3. Anatomy and Physiology for Yoga Trainers:
Basics of human anatomy: skeletal, muscular, respiratory, and circulatory systems
Physiological effects of yoga on the body and mind
Preventing injuries in yoga practice
Module 2: Practical Training in Yoga Asanas (Postures)
1. Basic Asanas:
Standing poses: Tadasana, Vrikshasana
Sitting poses: Sukhasana, Vajrasana
Supine poses: Shavasana, Setu Bandhasana
Prone poses: Bhujangasana, Salabhasana
2. Intermediate Asanas:
Flexibility-focused poses: Trikonasana, Janu Sirsasana
Strength-focused poses: Virabhadrasana, Bakasana
Balancing poses: Garudasana, Natarajasana
3. Advanced Asanas:
